Mainstation rtx-2080, more commonly known as “the Speld” or “the Pin”, is inserted into the body via a delicate surgery. It operates as the main base, monitoring and navigational centre, whilst Jellie ships (see previous posts) explore and solve medical problems within the human host’s body. The Speld is usually inserted into the cerebellum, where it uses bio electric energy to send out and receive signals throughout the body. Crewmembers of the Jellies can pick up these signals via special comms devices within their suits. The Main station can house several more Jellie ships that can be sent out in case of an emergency, as wel as more crewmembers and specialised personel.
